Introduction:
Elevate your morning ritual or surprise your loved ones with these delectable Banana French Toast Roll-Ups. They’re not just a treat for the taste buds but also a feast for the eyes, making them a surefire hit on social media or at your next family gathering. With their golden, caramelized exterior, a hint of cinnamon, and the creamy sweetness of bananas, these roll-ups are destined to be a new favorite.

Ingredients:

  • 10 slices of sandwich bread
  • 3 ripe bananas, thinly sliced
  • 3-4 tbsp butter, for cooking
  • 1 tbsp sugar, for caramelizing bananas
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar, for coating
  • 1/2 – 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Begin by heating a non-stick pan over medium heat. Melt 1 Р1/2 tbsp of butter and add the sliced bananas with 1 tbsp sugar. Sauté them until they turn a delightful golden hue.
  2. Mix the remaining sugar and cinnamon in a bowl; this will be your sweet outer coating. In a separate bowl, lightly beat the eggs with milk.
  3. Trim the crusts off your bread slices. Flatten each slice with a rolling pin for a smooth, even surface.
  4. Spread a thin layer (about 1-2 teaspoons) of the caramelized banana mixture along one edge of each bread slice. Brush the opposite edge with the egg-milk mixture.
  5. Roll the bread tightly around the banana, ensuring the egg wash seals the roll. Repeat with all bread slices.
  6. In a clean pan, melt another tablespoon of butter. Dip the rolls in the egg mixture, then place them seam-side down in the pan. Cook in batches, turning each roll to ensure even browning on all sides.
  7. Once cooked, lightly clean the pan with a paper towel before cooking the next batch.
  8. Finally, roll the warm, cooked rolls in the sugar-cinnamon mix, or dust them with powdered sugar for a snowy finish.
  9. Serve these Banana French Toast Roll-Ups warm and watch them disappear!
